A New Crime Imprint From HarperFiction
Harper Fiction has created a new imprint called Hemlock Press. Led by Julia Wisdom, the imprint is said to:
“intrigue the mind and thrill the senses.”
The new imprint will focus on espionage fiction, literary crime thrillers and historical suspense and will launch in spring 2024.
The launch of the new imprint will start with a bang and includes hardbacks from the likes of Finna and Dean, Jane Casey and Stig Abell, alongside some new highly anticipated authors. The launch itself will include a party and festival partnership alongside some activities.
Harper Fiction has said the creation of the imprint is to provide quality fiction alongside intriguing plots, vivid worlds and characters that stay with you, and is part of their growth strategy for the coming years.
As a publisher who loves the crime genre and as we’re currently waiting for our author Sara Thomson to deliver her historical crime mystery, we’re happy to see other publishers taking up an interest in this highly popular genre.
Sara’s book will focus on the Land Army and a Land Girl who becomes embroiled in a murder, and honestly, we can’t wait to get our hands on this one.
In the meantime, we’re reading current historical crime fiction and looking forward to seeing what Hemlock Press will publish.
